Proud to be a MABSAM!

Surprise surprise!

Mabasem amazed everyone with a brilliant debut. Coming back from 3-1 to level the score in the last 5 minutes was the talk of the hour. People started expecting things. Some said we will qualify to the next round easy. Some thought we will reach the final. Actually I thought we will go on and win the tournament, but it is typical of the Zeek to exaggerate.

The Captain is telling Taher how to watch his back.

We went in to the second match with a lot of confidence. Mom and Dad came to support their son. We didnt perform to our best and had a dismal performance. We lost 3-1 and before the final whistle, a member of our team 'Ahmed Meshry' *Girls you can always scroll down to my longest-ever post to read about him* who wasnt even playing, decided to foul a player from outside. How childish and lame. The next moment the game went into disrupt as more than 400 people came down from the stands and started hitting each other.

We had to win the final game. Less than 3 points meant we are out. We had the game in our hands. A magnificent style of play from Mabasem. Too bad our keeper made a mistake and we lost the game 1-0.

The Captain is impressed by the performance but knows deep down that this is the end of the journey.

Each group consists of 4 teams. We finished 4th in our group with only 1 point from one draw and 2 losses. We scored 4 goals and conceded 7. We had the best cheer leaders and fans. Our friends kept singing our names all the way.

Members of Mabasem:

1- Mahmoud El Tabei

5- Hatem Al Deeb
6- Hazem Sorour
7- Hossam El Ghazaly
